San Juan Capistrano is a really fun place to walk about. The Rancho Capistrano winery is very welcoming, has fun artwork, a huge wine selection and great food. I highly recommend.
This is a great spot for just about anything. Upscale feel but a casual setting. The food was delicious, the service was fantastic and it's in a great location. Great selection of wines, and the staff are knowledgeable and happy to explain everything. Dinner portions were so large that we had to take our dessert to go.
We ordered Brussels sprouts, corn, arugula salad and Cowboy Ribeye Steak. We loved all the appetizers/sides but the steak was a little tough to chew despite it being medium rare. It was really chewy and fatty. The seasoning and the butter was amazing though!
Wow, our 3rd night in town and we feel like we hit the jackpot. We recommend the Brussels sprouts, watermelon salad and mahi. Delicious! And live entertainment. We loved hearing Ava playing guitar and piano thru the evening. Beautiful!
Two weeks ago I went to Rancho Capistrano Winery. I have been there many times before, but the service was surprising. At table of four women, I was the only one who's plate wasn't cleared twice ( not a big deal). But I was surprised when the waiter place my menu on the the ground and propped it against my chair to make room at the table this disturbed me. I always appreciate my server, being a former waitdres. Not sure i will ever return to the establishment after this.
